Winemaker Notes

Our vineyard extends over more than 60 hectares, all of them certified by the different control organizations of Organic Agriculture. During the entire year the farm is subject to an exhaustive and continuous monitoring. The cycle starts in November with the analysis of the soil and a careful pruning process.

Dive into the passionate world of wine made from organically cultivated grapes. Chemical products of synthesis, pesticides, herbicides, etc. have no place in our daily tasks. We only use environmentally friendly organic products, which, apart from not harming man's health, contribute to improving the taste of the products obtained. Organic matter from crushed vine shoots is used to cover the earth for the first months of the year.

Hailed as the star red variety in Spain’s most celebrated wine region, Tempranillo from Rioja, or simply labeled, “Rioja,” produces elegant wines with complex notes of red and black fruit, crushed rock, leather, toast and tobacco, whose best examples are fully capable of decades of improvement in the cellar.

Rioja wines are typically a blend of fruit from its three sub-regions: Rioja Alta, Rioja Alavesa and Rioja Oriental, although specific sub-region (zonas), village (municipios) and vineyard (viñedo singular) wines can now be labeled. Rioja Alta and Alavesa, at the highest elevations, are considered to be the source of the brightest, most elegant fruit, while grapes from the warmer and drier, Rioja Oriental, produce wines with deep color, great body and richness.
