Winemaker Notes

Light cherry color. The Garnacha Crianza shows aromas of red fruits with a gentle touch of toast and mineral notes, which are so characteristic of the Garnacha grape. In the mouth it is meaty, balanced and well-rounded.

Try pairing with smoked ribs, mushroom quesadillas, quiche, and BBQ chicken.

Fresh and pure, this light red delivers raspberry, cherry and wild herb notes, with floral and vanilla accents. Graceful, focused and clean. Drink now through 2022.

Clos Dalian, Spain
Clos Dalian Winery Image

The wines of Clos Dalian are hand crafted by one of Spain’s greatest co-ops. Since 1942, the Cellers Unio have continued a 200 year old winemaking tradition in Catalonia, the region surrounding. Their farmers are strongly committed to our land and the people, and this commitment has driven Cellers Unió’s activity for more than 70 years. They believe that the best way of showing this commitment is crafting excellent wines, which serve as a tribute to their farmers’ work and, at the same time, guarantee our environment’s sustainability. This way they keep alive the spirit of all those generations who have dedicated their life to agriculture. To achieve this goal they promote sustainable agriculture and invest in the cellars and facilities to upgrade their equipment.

Grenache thrives in any warm, Mediterranean climate where ample sunlight allows its clusters to achieve full phenolic ripeness. While Grenache's birthplace is Spain (there called Garnacha), today it is more recognized as the key player in the red blends of the Southern Rhône, namely Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Côtes du Rhône and its villages. Somm Secret—The Italian island of Sardinia produces bold, rustic, single varietal Grenache (there called Cannonau). California, Washington and Australia have achieved found success with Grenache, both flying solo and in blends.
