A structured and chewy Lirac with blackberries, blackcurrants, dried herbs, cloves and cocoa powder, following through to a full body. Firm tannins bring a serious edge to the palate and the wood influence shapes the wine towards a compact, funnelled finish with peppercorns and dried herbs. Better after 2025.

A larger region between Chateauneuf-du-Pape and Tavel, Lirac red wines resemble some of the best Cotes du Rhone Villages wines, while it’s rosés are akin to those of Tavel. The region’s quality whites, based on Bourboulenc, Clairette, Grenache Blanc and Roussanne, are round and fruit-driven.
