Distiller Notes

Created in 2004, Green Tea Vodka was the first of its kind in the vodka market. In spring, four varieties of rare, first growth, whole-leaf green teas are picked in Anhwei Province, China and delivered to the Charbay Distillery. They dry them lightly, then dedicate 120 days to extracting the true flavor from the leaves. What you'll taste is pure green tea.

The overall bouquet impression includes seductive fragrances of ripe green melon, sage and lightly honeyed green tea with later whiffs of jasmine and honeysuckle. The palate entry is gently tea-like and a touch honeyed... Range: 90-95

Honey and lemon are soft and demure aromas, with a hint of papaya. The palate offers up an array of tropical notes, with the green tea tannins in check. With its crushed velvet texture, spiced tropical fruit, jasmine, and kaffir lime meld with sprouted herbs. Complex and exotic.

Founder, Milorad (Miles) Karakasevic, traces his family winemaking & distilling heritage over 250 years to 1751 in former-Yugoslavia. After receiving both formal and classical apprenticeship training, Miles arrived in North America at the age of 21. Through the years, he and our family have created an American legacy of consistent quality... and consistent surprises.
