Chamucos Extra Anejo Tequila is a blend of 3, 4, and 5-year-old tequilas. Brilliant deep warm amber. Abundance of aromas of roasted agave. Balanced with vanilla, dark chocolate, coffee, caramel, toffee, caramelized pineapple, Cylon cinnamon and a hint of smoke followed by barely discernible pumpkin spice. Warm, smooth and silky on entry and accentuated by perfect viscosity. Incredible awareness of layers of flavors of agave and toasted oak, vanilla perfectly balanced with chocolate, toffee and caramelized peach. Lingers very long for an incredible experience, long remembered.

Because of their great complexity, Anejo Tequilas are most often used as a substitute for Brandy or Whiskey in cocktails like the Manhattan or Old Fashioned. Anejo Tequilas must be aged in oak barrels for between one and three years, while Extra Anejo refers to any Tequila aged longer than three years. The prolonged contact with the oak barrel allows the wood to make a much stronger impression on the Tequila by adding toffee, caramel and vanilla to the sweet, spicy agave flavor profile.
