Calle 23 Reposado Tequila is a light amber color, medium-bodied tequila. On the nose, delicious light hints of wood, while the cooked agave still plays the major role in this reposado's aroma. Smooth and easy yet truly characterful. Light and smooth on the palate. The wood adds spiciness perfecting its personality. Notes of roasted peppers and fresh figs complete the experience.

Calle 23 starts with the careful selection of blue agave plants, sourced from 'Los Altos de Jalisco' (The Highlands) area, between the town of Tepatitlan and Arandas. In this area, the agave plants benefit from hot and sunny dry periods, followed by heavy rainy seasons, and a fertile soil, high in minerals, which produces richer and higher quality agaves, taking 7 to 9 years to reach full maturity.

Tequila Reposado refers to Tequilas that have been ‘rested’, or aged, in oak barrels for a minimum of two months but not more than one year. Depending on the specific flavors a tequilero wishes to impart on the spirit, a variety of different barrels may be used, from Brandy and Bourbon, to Wine and Sherry. The time spent on the wood allows Reposado Tequilas to mellow as they age, softening and rounding powerful flavor components brought by the agave and marrying them to subtle notes of caramel and vanilla brought by the barrel itself.
