Cabo Wabo Anejo Tequila
2016 SAN FRANCISCO WORLD SPIRITS COMPETITION SILVER MEDAL
With age comes wisdom — and more rich taste. After maturing in American oak barrels for at least 14 months, Cabo Añejo becomes even bolder with flavor. You can mix it if you want, but this old dog doesn’t need to learn any new tricks. It’s best enjoyed neat or on the rocks.
Amber color invites you in. A whiff of vanilla raises an eyebrow. Hints of honey wake up your taste buds.
Cabo Wabo Tequila is The Original Rock & Roll ultra-premium tequila. Cabo Wabo was created by Rock & Roll Hall-of-Famer Sammy Hagar to have a superior tequila to serve his friends in his Cabo Wabo Cantina in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Handcrafted from 100% Blue Weber Agave, Cabo Wabo offers a Blanco, Reposado, and Añejo tequila. Cabo Wabo is acknowledged as one of the finest ultra-premium tequilas in the world and continues to win top competitive tasting awards, including a Double Gold Medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition and the Chairman’s Trophy at the Ultimate Spirits Challenge.
Because of their great complexity, Anejo Tequilas are most often used as a substitute for Brandy or Whiskey in cocktails like the Manhattan or Old Fashioned. Anejo Tequilas must be aged in oak barrels for between one and three years, while Extra Anejo refers to any Tequila aged longer than three years. The prolonged contact with the oak barrel allows the wood to make a much stronger impression on the Tequila by adding toffee, caramel and vanilla to the sweet, spicy agave flavor profile.
