Potatoes give a subtle flavor and mellowness, while creating a creamy, soft-mouth feel. On tip of the tongue there is a slight sweetness. The sweet notes are due to the conversion from potato starch to natural sugar during distillation. Mid palate, you will feel a rich viscosity on the sides of the mouth, softly leading to a pleasant creamy finish.
Blue Ice Vodka started with “Big Jim” Myerson’s vision, who was a man with great charisma and integrity. He had a passion for fine wines and spirits, with a passion for creating truly handcrafted spirits, leading him on a quest through the Grand Teton Mountains. With a vision to create his own vodka made with the highest quality crops that America had to offer. He didn’t have to look very far to find the ideal crop region to craft his vodka. Idaho became the region of choice, where the man behind the brand and his family came from and lived, and where the natural ingredients are sourced to make the best tasting, handcrafted potato vodka.
Made from high-quality ingredients and pristine water from the Grand Teton Mountains, Blue Ice Vodka goes through a four-column distilling process ensuring the purest spirit. This process allows our Master Distiller to control the removal of impurities at a micro level.
Made from the distillation of anything containing fermentable sugars, Straight Vodka is a clear and unaged spirit. Cereal grains like wheat, rye and barley are the most commonly used bases, but modern Vodkas are now made from crops as diverse as sugar beets, grapes and potatoes. Ideally Straight Vodkas should be colorless, odorless and flavorless. They are sipped chilled and neat, or used as a base for a variety of cocktails, from the Martini to the Cosmopolitan.
