A delicious coupling of red and black primary fruits. Tones of red cherry, cranberry, blackberry, bramble. Complex creamy mid-palate of clove, cinnamon, and dried herb. Rich, chocolate tannins coat the mouth, and are well balanced with medium acidity.

This release is on song. Black pepper and peppercorn characters float through cherry and plum fruit flavour. It's lively, it has enough depth, it finishes well and it charms throughout. The fine-grained, savoury aspect of the tannin here is of particular note. If you like the Great Western style, you can buy this with confidence.

Quite elegant, with aromas of blackberries, dark cherries, dried herbs, roasted coffee beans and black olives. The palate is medium- to full-bodied with a seamlessly creamy mouthfeel and fine tannins. There is a lovely texture and restrained profile just waiting to open up with more time in the bottle.
