The exceptionally smooth, clean and fruity taste of Aultmore can be traced to the Foggie Moss. Their water source filters through bracken, gorse and heather purifying the water to the profit of Aultmore’s refined character. Aultmore 18 Years Old is a classic Speyside whisky, aromatic and fragrant in style. Elegant and uncomplicated, grassy and herbal – with notes of rosemary and thyme.

Smooth and rounded – heady with notes of apples, pears, and bananas. Sweet with a hint of spice and a long, rewarding finish.

What a stunning product—I’m embarrassed to say I’d never heard of it before now. Absolutely beautiful and impossibly smooth, with honey, butterscotch, vanilla, and toffee on a creamy and refined palate that lacks the faintest hint of smoke; the finish is long and superb.

“A good gulp of hot Scotch Whisky at bedtime–it’s not very scientific, but it helps!”

Alexander Fleming, Scottish inventor of penicillin, prescribed it as a cure for the common cold. Today Single Malt Scotch Whiskies are prized by enthusiasts and aficionados the world over for their rarity, age and complexity. By definition these must be produced in Scotland from a single distillery and made entirely from malted barley, using a pot still. The appearance, aroma and flavor of a Single Malt Scotch Whisky can vary widely depending on whether it was produced in the Highlands, Lowlands Islands, Speyside, Islay or Campbelltown regions.
