The final blend for the 2017 Arietta Cabernet Sauvignon is dense and intricately structured, with pure blue and black fruit aromas in
high definition. The concentrated bouquet is enhanced by subtle savory notes of graphite, and tarragon. A wave of plush, fine-grained tannins washes over the palate and lengthens and extends the finish.

The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon is a solid effort in this more challenging vintage. Deep purple-colored, with plenty of plum, graphite, crushed violets, and chocolaty notes, it hits the palate with medium to full-bodied richness, ripe, present tannins, outstanding balance, and a great finish. It's well worth seeking out and will have two decades of longevity. Rating: 93+

Made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, the deep garnet-purple colored 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon gives baked plums and warm cassis scents with notes of dried herbs, tobacco, tapenade and underbrush. The palate is medium to full-bodied and firm, with nice freshness and well-played tannins, finishing with good length and balance.

Somm Secret—DNA profiling in 1997 revealed that Cabernet Sauvignon was born from a spontaneous crossing of Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon Blanc in 17th century southwest France.
