Winemaker Notes

Highlights of crushed roses, flowers, anise and toasted oak round out this ethereal monster. Big, bold, richly textured with flavors of blackberry, cassis, dark plum, chocolate and sweet spices. The long, lingering finish gives way to a lip-smackingly delicious butterscotch note

Blend: 92% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Petit Verdot

Wine Enthusiast
With less than 6% Petit Verdot, this epic wine is made from the producer's best barrels and is seductive in wild vanilla, red currant and plum. Expansive and succulent on the palate, the oak is well-integrated and supportive, imparting complex notes of cigar box and clove on the lengthy, spicy finish. Enjoy best 2025–2035.

Lastly, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Signature is based all on Cabernet Sauvignon that spent 20 months in 65% new French oak. It's a classic wine that's packed with notions of blackcurrants, scorched earth, tobacco leaf and roasted herbs. Rich, full-bodied and concentrated, it has the most mid-palate depth of the trio, possessing building tannin, and a great finish. Another terrific wine from this estate, it has two to three decades of longevity ahead of it.

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Signature has a nose of baked blackberries, black cherries and earthy notions with hints of underbrush, bay leaves and meat. Full-bodied and full-on savory in the mouth, it has chewy tannins and a meaty/peppery finish.

The nose to this is more subtle with blackcurrants, chocolate shavings, spice box and tobacco. Full body, structured tannins, layers of fruit and a chewy finish. Balanced and focused.

Anderson's Conn Valley Vineyards Winery Video
Anderson's Conn Valley Vineyards are located just east of St. Helena in the Napa Valley where Conn Creek flows out of Howell Mountain. Twenty-six acres of vineyards, divided into nine blocks, along with a fifteen acre-foot reservoir are the heart of this 40-acre grape-growing paradise.

Separated from the Napa Valley floor by a north/south running ridge, the world-renowned wineries of Joseph Heitz and Joseph Phelps are located on the west side of this ridge and the Anderson's Estate Vineyards are on the east side at a perfect elevation of 400 feet.

The vineyards not only enjoy Napa Valley's superb microclimate, but share the same Bale Loam Series as are found on the famous Rutherford Bench. This combination of clay-loam soil and microclimate produces up to 106 tons of exceptional fruit each year. One from which a world-class Cabernet Sauvignon and Bordeaux-style blend, called Éloge, can be artfully handcrafted.

One of the most prestigious wines of the world capable of great power and grace, Napa Valley Cabernet is a leading force in the world of fine, famous, collectible red wine. Today the Napa Valley and Cabernet Sauvignon are so intrinsically linked that it is difficult to discuss one without the other. But it wasn’t until the 1970s that this marriage came to light; sudden international recognition rained upon Napa with the victory of the Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars 1973 Cabernet Sauvignon in the 1976 Judgement of Paris.

Cabernet Sauvignon undoubtedly dominates Napa Valley today, covering half of the land under vine, commanding the highest prices per ton and earning the most critical acclaim. Cabernet Sauvignon’s structure, acidity, capacity to thrive in multiple environs and ability to express nuances of vintage make it perfect for Napa Valley where incredible soil and geographical diversity are found and the climate is perfect for grape growing. Within the Napa Valley lie many smaller sub-AVAs that express specific characteristics based on situation, slope and soil—as a perfect example, Rutherford’s famous dust or Stags Leap District's tart cherry flavors.
