Winemaker Notes
A fruity white wine, yellowish-green in color. It has a scent of fresh green apples. Juicy and fruity on the palate, with a peppery resonance.

Salt and pepper minerality dominates. Leafy fern aromas, candied lemons and an exotic whiff of yellow plums. Light-bodied yet well-balanced in terms of weight. Drink now.

Fresh green apples, chamomile and lime zest combine as the 2024 Grüner Veltliner evolves in the glass. It displays notable glycerol weight yet amazing freshness as ripe orchard fruits are carried along a stream of vibrant acidity. A cascade of inner florals and hints of citrus punctuate the experience as this closes with medium length and crispness.
Fun to say and delightfully easy to drink, Grüner Veltliner calls Austria its homeland. While some easily quaffable Grüners come in a one-liter—a convenient size—many high caliber single vineyard bottlings can benefit from cellar aging. Somm Secret—About 75% of the world’s Grüner Veltliner comes from Austria but the variety is gaining ground in other countries, namely Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and the United States.
