Winemaker Notes
The 2019 Sauvignon Gris is a crisp, refreshing white to drink now and over the next year or two. Intensely perfumed, with bright lime, sage and floral flavors. The Sauvignon Gris is done in a very slightly off dry style that is quite inviting.
There are hundreds of white grape varieties grown throughout the world. Some are indigenous specialties capable of producing excellent single varietal wines. Each has its own distinct viticultural characteristics, as well as aroma and flavor profiles.
Today it is an integral part of the greater Santa Barbara County wine region, but at one time the village, Los Olivos, was a stop on the Wells Fargo stagecoach line.
