Winemaker's Notes

The 2006 Treana Red has a deeply extracted, ruby hue and displays up-front aromas of ripe, dark fruit and exotic spice. Depth and power come from the Cabernet, while a Syrah component lends inviting fleshiness. The wine's full mouthfeel leads to a silky, lasting finish. Luxurious and well balanced now, the 2005 Treana Red will continue to age beautifully for the next 10 -12 years.

Critical Acclaim

"This is a blend based on Cabernet Sauvignon. It’s full-bodied and ripely sweet in fruit, in the manner of a Paso Robles red wine. What it may lack in subtlety, it more than makes up in sheer power. Floods the mouth with blackberries, cherries, currants, plums, mocha, violets, leather, tobacco and pepper spice. Now–2012."

This wine is a very elegant Bordeaux style wine. We paired it with steak but it could be enjoyed with a lot of things, or alone. It's even better the second day! Luxurious mouth feel, silky, bursting with fruit and complexity without being over the top. Great value because I only paid about $32 at Costco. I'll be going back for a case. :)
