Catena Alta Cabernet Sauvignon 2007
Cabernet Sauvignon
from Argentina, South America
winemaker's notes:
The 2007 Catena Alta Cabernet Sauvignon presents a dark opaque violet color with garnet hues. The wine shows ripe dark fruits with notes of fresh herbs and sweet spice. The palate presents
additional layers of leather and cigar box, a soft, creamy texture and finishes with finely grained
tannins and fresh acidity.
critical acclaim:
"Deep, lush, balanced and okay, with bacon, floral notes and huge raspberry and cassis aromas. Layered and structured across the palate, with concentration and balance to go with lusty cassis, blackberry, mocha and spice flavors. Finishes toasty and dark, with waves of espresso and mocha. Drink now-2015/Cellar Selection."

"Bright saturated ruby. Perfumed, high-pitched aromas of crushed blackberry, black raspberry, violet, bitter chocolate, cola and leather. Juicy and nicely delineated, with lovely inner-mouth energy intensifying the dark fruit and bitter chocolate flavors. Boasts a lovely penetrating sweetness without overripeness. Finishes long and serious, with suave, building tannins."
