Wine Tasting Course Includes:
- Domaine de Fontsainte Corbieres Rouge
Brilliant ruby in color, with violet tints, this wine offers generous aromas of red fruits (particularly cherries), black fruits and cacao with a delicate touch of licorice. On the palate, it is round, concentrated and balanced. The tannins are delicate and the acidity luscious.
- Castello di Monsanto Chianti Classico Riserva
The Chianti Classico Riserve comes from a selection of grapes from vineyards which are more suitable for long maturing. Vinified in steel with a maceration of about 20 days, and as a second passage, it is aged in smaller wooden barrels for about 18 months, to then rest for a minimum of 3 months in glass. An exceptional compliment to red meats, roasts and game.
- Bodegas Muga Reserva
A wine with medium-high depth of color -- black-cherry red with garnet hues. First, red-fruit notes appear on the nose, with hints of fennel and scrubby heathland, all nicely balanced by smokey aromas from the time spent in medium-toasted wood. Underlying hints of vanilla come through with coffee notes. On the palate, there is a full mouth-feel with slightly mentholated nuances and white chocolate. The vanilla reappears and the red-berry fruit aromas found on the nose persist, with an elegant acidity which makes the aftertaste long.
- Matanzas Creek Alexander Valley Chardonnay
This wine exhibits aromas of grilled nectarine, olive oil ice cream, sweet lemon bars and a hint of snickerdoodle cookies. Hints of vanilla, marzipan and roasted walnuts balance out the savory, rich mouthfeel with cascading acidity.
- Loveblock Sauvignon Blanc
The wine has lifted aromatics of white peach, pineapple, and elderflower on the nose. An elegant and contemplative palate follows on with the cantaloupe, Cape gooseberry and crushed, sweet meadow grass. The finish is long and distinctively Sauvignon Blanc, with linear acidity balanced by creamy mouthfeel and layers of texture.
- Mark Ryan The Dissident
Some of Washington State's best vineyards have provided fruit for the 2017 Dissident. Cabernet sauvignon from Ciel du Cheval, Phinny Hill, and Quintessence and merlot from Klipsun and Red Willow are the foundation of this wine. Blend: 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, 9% Cabernet Franc, 1% Petit Verdot
