Winemaker Notes
Crimson red in color. Aromas full of ripe, wild strawbert, red and black cherries, mulberries, and black currant. Earthy, savory notes on the nose and palate followed by richness of fruit held in balance by its gravelly tannin structure and juicy acidity.

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
Juicy, firm and broadly aromatic with notes of pencil shavings and blackberry reduction, the 2018 Single Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon is focused, fresh and generous. Full-bodied, the palate is balanced, complex and focused, showing a firm tannic edge with supporting acidity. The wine uncoils to show more complexity with time in the mouth before gliding to a graceful, lingering, ever-evolving finish. Drink over the next 10 to 12 years.

In 1991, President Nelson Mandela awarded the Merit award of export achievement to the estate. During this period, they tirelessly worked on building the Rust en Vrede brand into a world quality product. These efforts were rewarded in 1993 when President Mandela selected Rust en Vrede to be served at the prestigious Nobel Peace Prize banquet.
