The Deep Purple label for this wine was created by Bob Johnson who is a famed wine industry illustrator, cartoonist, and graphic artist. It is a tribute to a time when a group of ruggedly independent wine pioneers decided to get in touch with their inner purple.Wine Gift Includes:
- Deep Purple Zinfandel:
Scents of blackberry, black cherry, and plum with a touch of black pepper and clove. Jammy fruit from entry through mid-palate, finishing with wild berries and a dusting of cocoa.
- Peace Bottle Stopper:
This stopper is great for in between glasses of wine at home or using during parties. Made of recycled rubber.
Pursuant to state laws in New York, gifts that contain both food and wine will be sent in two separate packages.
The Napa Valley and Cabernet Sauvignon are so intrinsically linked that it is difficult to discuss one without thinking of the other. Although Cabernet has many important outposts throughout the wine world, nowhere else has it achieved such success (and, at the highest end, commanded such lofty prices) than in Napa. Here, it is responsible for bold, opulent, and dark-fruited wines with grippy tannins and a healthy dose of alcohol. The best examples can age for decades. Each of Napa’s smaller sub-AVAs imparts a different character to Cabernet, such as Rutherford’s famous dust or Stags Leap District's tart cherry flavors.
