Winemaker Notes

The wine exhibits juicy raspberries, cherry and sweet spice withan elegant, deep structure. The midpalate runs deep with plum and ripe, black cherry finishing with lingering vanilla, cola and wildstrawberries. The wine is deep and continues to evolve in the glass.

RP 92
Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The tiny production (it’s their smallest release, 50 some odd cases) 2013 Pinot Noir Cohn Vineyard (this is Russian River) gives up lots of Bing cherry, mulled spices and a dried violet-like quality to go with medium to full-bodied richness on the palate. Ripe, sexy, voluptuous and textured, yet with solid tannic grip on the finish, this beauty was completely destemmed and aged 16 months in 57% new French oak. Drink it anytime over the coming 5-6 years. Kosta Browne's first ever single vineyard Pinot Noir was from this vineyard.
WS 91
Wine Spectator
This is deceptively complex and nuanced, with a taut core of raspberry and wild berry notes and touches of anise and nutmeg. The flavors build gracefully on the finish. Drink now through 2020.
