Winemaker Notes
This wine is named in honour of our young son Benjamin Edward. Chardonnay (48%), Sauvignon Blanc (26%) and Semillon (26%), sourced primarily from vineyards in Margaret River, has created a wonderfully attractive wine that's mouthfilling yet not heavy. The Chardonnay delivers generous melon and peach character, whilst the Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon add lifted aromas of grapefruit, lemongrass and citrus blossom.
Hill of Content was born out of my desire to create interesting Region specific wines at a price that allows for “liberal” consumption. The name translates as “Hill of Happiness”, referring to a state of mind rather than geographic place. I hoped it would also be my own little way of seeking revenge against those “anonymous” glass pour wines that I am sure you to have tried and been disappointed by......you know wines that are red or white, contain alcohol, but you would hardly strike up a conversation about. You be the judge if I have succeeded.
