      Description

Proprietor Jean-Charles Boisset's French Bulldog, Frenchie, represents the very essence of style, charisma and personality, much like Jean-Charles, himself. With his stout stature and ability to steal everyone's heart, he is definitely royalty around the winery. Although he may not go down as one of the greatest leaders of all time, Frenchie will definitely go down in history as the greatest four-legged winemaker, producing wines that "are sure to make you drool."

The Frenchie Wine Duo includes two bottles of red wine from Raymond Winery's "Frenchie" label, plus a sleeve of three purple "Frenchie" tennis balls.

      • Frenchie 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon, Louis XIV
About the Wine: Fetching aromas and flavors of blackberries and cocoa, with hints of cassis and subtle notes of vanilla. Like Versailles, this Cabernet has great structure, balance and a nice, long finish. Grapes for this wine are sourced from both Sonoma and Napa counties.
About Louis XIV: Born on September 5, 1638, King Louis XIV became King of France at the age of four and was the longest reigning king in European history. His reign lasted 72 years, 110 days when he passed away on September 1, 1715; 4 days before his 77th birthday. Known as Le Roi Soleil (The Sun King), King Louis XIV ruled his French empire as an absolute monarchy.

      • Frenchie 2009 Red Wine, Napoleon
About the Wine: A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Sangiovese, Zinfandel, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Aromas and flavors of black and red fruit, with hints of cassis and subtle notes of oak unleash in your glass. This red blend has great structure and balance and although you would assume it to have a short finish, it is quite long.
About Napoleon's Coronation: On Sunday, December 2, 1804, Napoleon Bonaparte was crowned as Emperor of France. Not wanting to be an old regime monarch, Napoleon explained that "to be king is to inherit old ideas and genealogy. I don't want to descend from anyone… the title of Emperor is greater." Napoleon has gone down in history as the greatest leader of France.

      • Sleeve of three purple "Frenchie" tennis balls, to keep the pooch happy!
