Winemaker Notes
Richebourg has the silky character of its neighbor Romanée-Conti and the firmness of La Tâche. This wine is a king's musketeer who enjoys living in company, laughing and singing, feeling that one admires the power contained in its athletic body.
Professional Ratings
-
Wine Spectator
A firm, rich and tannic style, with very complex and enticing flavors of smoked bacon, cherry, spice and earth that are tightly concentrated and in need of another five to seven years' cellaring. The tannins on the finish are very firm but not biting.
-
Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The Richebourg has large quantities of tannin, but it has the stuffing and huge concentration of fruit and ripeness to match. It is a very full-bodied, rich, super-concentrated wine that should last for several decades.
