Wine Gift Set Includes:
- 2015 Shafer One Point Five Cabernet Sauvignon
The 2015 bursts with bright, energetic aromas and flavors of fresh black cherry, black plum right from the tree, pomegranate, wet slate, peppercorn, lavender, and savory herbs. The flavors have long, beautiful length in the mouth and the wine’s classic Stags Leap District tannins offer structure and promise for delicious things to come in the cellar.
Rated 97 Points: Wine Enthusiast - “Taut and leathery, this is a thickly tannic, incredibly structured and powerful wine, softened by 7% Merlot and 3% Malbec. Extracted black fruit is poised amongst earthy truffle, crushed rock and black pepper, the aromas and flavors integrated and built to age. Enjoy best 2025–2030.”
- 2015 Domaine de Chevalier
Intense dark red color. Very fresh nose, charming and attractive. On the palate, the attack is silky and delicious, it gives way to an exquisite fruity flesh with a very dense structure. The wine is fine, complex and elegant with a lovely mineral freshness. We find the silky and fleshy quality of 2009, combined with the beautiful structure of 2005!
Rated 97 Points: Jeb Dunnack - “I was able to taste the 2015 Domaine de Chevalier twice and it showed sensationally both times. A blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, and the rest Petit Verdot that was harvested between October 1st and October 15th, this deep ruby/purple-colored effort has soaring aromatics of caramelized black cherries, cassis, lead pencil shavings, and forest floor. Deep, full-bodied, intense and beautifully pure, with fine tannin and moderate acidity, it’s a gorgeous Pessac-Leognan that needs 4-5 years of cellaring and will evolve for three decades.
- 2013 Casanova di Neri Brunello di Montalcino Tenuta Nuova
At first sight, Tenuta Nuova 2013 already shows its potential from the bright red color. The bouquet is very expressive and intense, with notes of young red fruit, blackberry and the typical balsamic. In the mouth is full body, persistent and rich, with silky tannins and a superb lenght. A combination of elegance and power, it should be opened at least 2 hours in advance or alternatively decanting gently.
Rated 98 Points: James Suckling - “A vivid and bright red with intense blueberries and raspberries. Floral undertones and tons of citrus, too! Full-bodied, dense and layered. Polished tannins and fantastic fruit. The muscularity of the structure is what gives this wine focus and intensity. So serious for the vintage. Give it time to show its greatness. Drink in 2022.”
Due to the popularity of this gift, wines sometimes sell out. Should this happen, we will always substitute with wines of equal or greater value.
