Decanter
Expressive and open nose. Concentrated and lively fruit here with just a touch of smoked earth to the black cherry and blueberry fruits. Well presented, clean and crisp, this has a nice purity to the texture, smooth and sleek with juicy tannins that fill the mouth giving a mouthwatering brightness. Lots of joy to this as well as being serious with a proper backbone all the way through. I like the styling here! Feels gently decadent and confident. Refined though still with a fruity and fresh lift at the end.

James Suckling
Mint chocolate, walnuts, currants and mulberries on the nose. It’s medium-bodied with a brightness and focus. Medium tannins. Nicely mineral at the end.

Jeb Dunnuck
Lots of violets, blue fruits, and spicy oak notes define the 2021 Château Prieuré-Lichine, which shows more red fruits and sandalwood notes with time in the glass. Medium-bodied, elegant, and pretty, it's a classic Margaux in the making that will shine for its complexity and nuance more than outright power or richness. Barrel Sample : 89-91

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
Offering up aromas of dark berries, orange confit, cola and mint, the 2021 Prieuré-Lichine is medium to full-bodied, fleshy and round, with decent depth at the core, powdery tannins and a front-loaded style that will offer near-term appeal.

Wine
The vine density at Prieuré-Lichine is quite high, and the vineyard is carefully managed plot by plot. The grapes are completely picked by hand into small crates and carefully gone over on a sorting table prior to crushing. Only the ripest, healthiest grapes are used. Malolactic fermentation takes place in barrel. The entire winemaking process is devoted to bringing out the charm, elegance and finesse characteristic of the finest wines in the Margaux appellation.
