Winemaker Notes

Produced exclusively from grapes grown in Sonoma Valley, this wine has exceptional fresh fruit flavors. A pleasant berry taste, combined with a dash of spice, is evident in the taste. Include the aging in carefully selected French oak barrels and you have a wonderful drinking wine.

Due to our replanting of vineyards, some of the fruit for this wine was purchased from our neighbors in Sonoma Valley. Some Olive Hill Cabernet Sauvignon was also blended in to this vintage.

The 1999 B. R. Cohn Merlot is a perfect accompaniment to grilled lamb, beef, or may be enjoyed on its own.
