Nearly opaque dark ruby-blue color. A wonderfully intense Syrah nose, bright with white pepper, raspberry and spice aromas even reveals a hint of Christmas cake or plum and candied fruits. The flavors are ripe and juicy, with boysenberry, black licorice, cocoa dust, and a keen edge of white pepper. Firm yet supple tannins and clear, ripe acidity provide structure and length, and give definition to the long finish. There is a lot of finesse and refinement underneath the rich fruit, suggesting 4-6 years aging capacity. A stylish Syrah with French structure and California fruit intensity!
