Select parcels of Shiraz and Cabernet were machine harvested during the cool of night when the grapes were at their optimum maturity. This medium to light bodied wine was made to capture the fresh fruit characters of Shiraz and Cabernet. The strong spice and white pepper characters of Shiraz complement the soft fruity flavors of Cabernet. The wine is soft and well balanced in acidity, and therefore is easy drinking without cellaring. Enjoy with your favorite café food or with friends at alfresco dining.
Spicy white pepper Shiraz and blueberry cassis aroma with some hints of chocolate and vanilla.
The firm, sweet tannin and spicy Shiraz fruit flavors dominate the softer Cabernet fruit
characters which gives the wine its flavor, persistence, and finesse.
Banrock Station lies at the junction of Banrock Creek and the Murray River near the Town of Kingston-on-Murray in South Australia’s Riverland. The property includes extensive floodplains and wetlands with surrounding Mallee woodlands. For more than 100 years the property had been extensively used for grazing sheep and cattle. But now, following some passionate conservation work by Banrock Station and environment groups like Wetland Care Australia, the wetlands and woodlands are being carefully rejuvenated.
