Winemaker Notes
Produced from Autumn Winds Yamhill estate vineyard, this wine was blended from free run and press grape juice and aged in used French barrels. We recommend enjoying over the next four years. This wine matches lighter red meat like lamb, roast pork, or roast tenderloin of beef, grilled seafood (especially salmon), grilled chicken, wild fowl, cheese and chocolate pastries or candies.
Professional Ratings
- Wine Spectator
Located in the North Chehalem Valley in the heart of Oregon's Yamhill County wine country, Autumn Wind Vineyards winery was built in 1987. The 52 acre site was chosen after a long and careful search -- the moderate evelation, south facing exposure, and well-draining soils make it an ideal location for grape growing. Autumn Wind specializes in Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, and Muller-Thurgau. Owners/Winemakers Wendy and Tom Kreutner feel that by concentrating on fewer varieties, they can put all of their efforts into producing truly fine wines.
