    Winemaker Notes

25% aged in seasoned French oak and 75% in redwood uprights for 20 months, Winemaker Mark Beaman's distinctively unique mix of Syrah, Petite Sirah, Zinfandel, and Grenache tastes of black cherries, peppered back with a velvety vanilla and caramel finish.

    About the Blend:
Wines That Rock, The Official Wine of Rock 'n Roll is all about pairing wine & music. With the Grateful Dead echoing in the cellar, our winemaker crafted this red wine blend from premium Mendocino County fruit, blending a one-of-a-kind wine with Rock 'n Roll mythology.

To capture the essence of the live energy of the Grateful Dead's Steal Your Face, Winemaker Mark Beaman chose to meld several varieties into one. Just as the band members would segue through various musical styles, this wines far reaching flavors melt seamlessly from one to the next, blending Syrah, Petite Sirah, Zinfandel & Grenache. In honor of the band's famous improvisational concerts that have brought joy to so many, this wine celebrates Mendocino County's bounty of diversity and freedom of experimentation.

The founders of Wines That Rock have been at the forefront of bringing Rock 'n Roll to fans for decades. This new project was born out of two great passions, music and wine. The project's goal is the creation of great tasting wines inspired by the spirit of Classic Rock 'n Roll Music, iconic album art for labels, earth friendly production from the grape to the labels and great consumer value. With over 30 years of rock 'n roll experience, Wines That Rock founders intend to use their rock 'n roll expertise to promote, produce and market these one of a kind wines, no differently than they would a World Wide Tour of a major artist.
