The first selection of Sangiovese from the Villa la Selva vineyards go into this delightful red. It is a wine meant to charm the expert and the beginner, with its velvety, soft yet outspoken varietal character, full body and length. The same tanks are used for fermentation as for Selvamaggio, and the finished wine spends 10 to 12 months in a blend of different barriques. Tuscany in a glass.
