The 2012 Proprietary Red Blend Rabicano from Yountville is a blend of 58% Cabernet Sauvignon, 27% Merlot, 8% Petit Verdot and 7% Cabernet Franc. A dense purple color is followed by sweet blueberry and blackberry fruit intermixed with a note of spring flowers. Medium to full-bodied with supple tannins, outstanding concentration and overall balance and equilibrium, this impressively endowed, serious red merits attention. Consume it over the next 6-10 years.

A visit to the Tamber Bey winery is like nothing else in Napa Valley. The winery is located at the Sundance Ranch in Calistoga, a world-class, 22-acre equestrian facility that is dedicated to training top performance horses. The winery was built in 2013 by remodeling a 15,000-square-foot covered riding arena into a state-of-the-art winemaking facility with a crush pad that houses 36 fermentation tanks sized for individual vineyard-designated wines.
