Spicy, black licorice and dark fruits on the nose and palate. Full-bodied, with a lovely combination of fruit and oak. Needs time to melt together, but very fine.

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
Deep purple-black colored, the 2010 Shingleback The Davey Estate Shiraz has pronounced notes of warm blackberries and blueberries over cedar, violets and fertile loam plus subtle hints of Mediterranean herbs and game. The palate reveals a good concentration of ripe blackberry flavors with enlivening acid and a medium-firm level of fine grained tannins, finishing long.

From it's genesis in 1998, when the first wine (Shingleback Shiraz) was released under the Shingleback label, the Shingleback portfolio has grown into a collection of fine wines that include Shingleback, Red Knot and The Gate. Each made in its distinct style, these wines showcase the best the McLaren Vale region has to offer. They also represent a family committed to producing outstanding wines from the land they love.
