Winemaker Notes
The wine has a deep cold colour with greenish tinges around the edge. It is showing soft citrus and apricot aromatics on the nose. The palate has a delicious luscious wieght with ripe apricot characters coming to the fore. It is showing a superb balance between the natural grape sugar and acid and finishes long. Sipping superbly now, it will benefit from a further cellaring for four to eight years to allow the wine to further deepen and honey in the bottle.
Serve slightly chilled. Normally, Botrytis Semillon Sauternes is regarded as a fine dessert wine. For a magical combination, also try it with a good cheese and fresh fruit, or as an aperitif with a rich pate.
