This is a project from Joan Asens, the former winemaker at Alvaro Palacios, and three partners who grow grapes in the Masroig area. This wine, made entirely from garnacha blanca, is as creamy and rich as crème brûlée, the round texture filled with toffee and ripe white fruit flavors. A touch of oxidation brings complexity and a delicious salty finish.
There are hundreds of white grape varieties grown throughout the world. Some are indigenous specialties capable of producing excellent single varietal wines. Each has its own distinct viticultural characteristics, as well as aroma and flavor profiles.
