He has garnered a reputation for innovation and made Nicholson Ranch one of the most distinctive and sought-after wine brands in California. The Estate vineyards were planted in 1996 and 1997. The caves were dug in 2000 and the state-of-the-art, gravity-flow winery was completed in 2003. The first Nicholson Ranch wine was harvested in 2000.
