The 2018 Achelo offers an intense purple-red color to the eye. On the nose, enveloping notes of red and black berry fruit fuse with the spicy sensations of vanilla and the characteristic scents of black pepper. The palate is sweet and pleasurable; its attractive persistence fully expresses an aftertaste characterized by the aromas of such dark fruit as black currants and blackberry jam together with light hints of vanilla.

Bright blackberry, black currant, violet, bacon and toasty oak notes mark this polished, expressive red, which is harmonious and enjoyable now, yet should evolve over the short term. Fine, peppery finish. Merlot and Syrah. Drink now through 2028.

Located few kilometers from Montepulciano, where southeastern Tuscany borders Umbria and Lazio, La Braccesca Estate is immersed in a pristine environment greatly loved and admired by travelers from all over the world. Montepulciano is the land of renowned "Vino Nobile", a wine appreciated already centuries ago by the Medici family. Legendary in Italy for its Renaissance art and striking landscape, Tuscany is also home to many of the country’s best red wines. Sangiovese reigns supreme here, as either the single varietal, or a dominant player, in almost all of Tuscany’s best.
A remarkable Chianti, named for its region of origin, will have a bright acidity, supple tannins and plenty of cherry fruit character. From the hills and valleys surrounding the medieval village of Montalcino, come the distinguished and age-worthy wines based on Brunello (Sangiovese). Earning global acclaim since the 1970s, the Tuscan Blends are composed solely of international grape varieties or a mix of international and Sangiovese. The wine called Vine Nobile di Montepulciano, composed of Prognolo Gentile (Sangiovese) and is recognized both for finesse and power.
