Dark purple. Lovely scents of ripe red fruit, licorice and sweet spice. A powerful and full-bodied wine with rich notes of blueberry, wild herbs and lots of spice.

Pairs exceptionally well with game, hearty stews, steaks and Italian dishes.

Sports a ripe, winey feel, with cassis, raspberry puree and plum reduction flavors, inlaid liberally with red licorice notes. Slightly burly singed alder and chestnut details fill in on the finish, though there's enough fleshy fruit to soak them up. Best from 2018 through 2028.
