Winemaker Notes

Aromas of black plum and black cherry fruit with elements of smoke and vanilla along with violets and red licorice. Balanced avors of raspberry and plum fruit combined with dried sage and sweet herb. Finishes with notes of wild cherry and tobacco.

Pair with dishes such as roasted pork with molé sauce, grilled lamb with blackberry sauce, cheese Ppate with Parmigiano- Reggiano, or dry Jack and peppered goat cheese.

Clos LaChance is a family owned and operated winery. Started by Bill and Brenda Murphy (bottom left and bottom middle), they began making Chardonnay sourced from the vineyard planted in the backyard of their Saratoga home. Their winemaking hobby turned into a passion and a few years later, Bill and Brenda founded Clos LaChance winery in San Martin, just 30 minutes south of San Jose Ca. They later hired their two daughters, Kristin (top) and Chery (bottom right) who help run the winery today.
