Winemaker Notes
The vines are bush trained and dry farmed, with most of the vines almost 40 years old. The wine, 100% Pinotage grapes, was aged in 75% new French oak, but the wood is very well integrated and the fruit shines through.
The deep purple red color of the wine is enhanced by flavors of strawberries, leather, and spiciness on the nose. The winemaker estimates that this wine will benefit from up to six years of bottle aging.
