    Winemaker Notes

Good intense purple robe. Fruity bouquet with red fruits and light vanilla notes. Good extraction, not overwhelming. Good attack. Flavors of red cherry, cedar and box tree. Silky, melting tannins. Full bodied with good structure, balance and nice long finish. Perhaps the best value in Médoc wines today.

    Chateau Doyac, France
Located near Saint Seurin-de-Cadourne, a few miles north of Saint Estephe, Chateau Doyac has a surface of 20 hectares in one block and dates to 1850. The estate was purchased in 1998 by a young and dynamic winegrower, the Count Max de Pourtalès.

Significant investments have been made in the vineyards and the winemaking facilities and cellars have been completely modernized. Doyac is becoming well renowned among the new up and coming wines from the northern Médoc with plenty of finesse and structure.
