Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The 2010 Chardonnay is quite a bit brighter and more focused than the 2009. Lemon peel, flowers, spices and crushed rocks are some of the notes that flow from this taut, mineral-driven wine. Hints of lemon, mint and jasmine reappear on the crisp, delineated finish. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2020.

Wine Enthusiast
A big improvement over the ’09, this shows increased mastery of the grapes, which come from the estate on Atlas Peak. Fashioned in the Burgundian style, this has some new oak and plenty of sur lie character, with rich, ripe flavors of pineapple, golden mango and yellow apricot and firm minerality. Drink now with lobsters, crabs, scallops and similar rich fare.

Wine & Spirits
From the Antinori family's vineyard on Atlas Peak, this grows at 1,400 feet in the eastern hills of Napa Valley. It's a gentle Chardonnay, with scents of chamomile and wheat sheaf, the pale herb flavors lingering with softness. Try it with roast arctic char and creamed spinach.

ANTICA is a symbol for Antinori California and expresses in Italian our family's passion for winemaking passed along 26 generations.
Napa Valley has a special place in my heart beginning with my first visit in 1966, having the free spirit coming from a new frontier, a wonderful history, and the potential to produce world-class wines.
Our wine estate is located on a high plain in the eastern mountains of the celebrated Napa Valley. Its hilly terrain, rocky soils, high elevations and beautiful landscape create above all an estate ideal for winegrowing.
Marchese Piero Antinori - Proprietor
One of the most popular and versatile white wine grapes, Chardonnay offers a wide range of flavors and styles depending on where it is grown and how it is made. While it tends to flourish in most environments, Chardonnay from its Burgundian homeland produces some of the most remarkable and longest lived examples. California produces both oaky, buttery styles and leaner, European-inspired wines. Somm Secret—The Burgundian subregion of Chablis, while typically using older oak barrels, produces a bright style similar to the unoaked style. Anyone who doesn't like oaky Chardonnay would likely enjoy Chablis.
Just northeast of Napa city, Atlas Peak boasts some of Napa Valley’s highest elevation vineyards. Here the intense sunlight coupled with cool, nighttime temperatures produce grapes that are perfectly ripe, balanced and concentrated. The appellation is rich in volcanic soils and excels in the production of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.
