Stringtown is a negociant style project that first started out of the need in the market for affordable high-quality Pinot Noir. All the grapes grown for Stringtown are done so without pesticides and chemical fertilizers. Here the focus is on organic farming that examines the ecological relationship between soil, plants and animals. The winemaking is built on community and the strong support of independent growers who uphold this philosophy and make wines that are true representations of the land, vintage and climate. The integrity of the winemakers and the luscious, carefully farmed fruit make Stringtown a standout.
The Stringtown project had always been a successful one, but without a reliable supplier, the bottling was briefly suspended. After talking with our favorite Walla Walla winemaker, Casey McClellan of Seven Hills Winery, we were thrilled to discover we need not look further. Casey, a veteran winemaker of the great Northwest and a man with both conviction and connections, stepped in, sourced some great quality grapes at the peak of harvest, and vinified this wine for us at his own facilities. We couldn’t have more confidence in Casey’s abilities to produce an honest, clean, varietally pure, and utterly drinkable wine and are proud to be able to offer Stringtown Pinot Noir to our customers.
