Winemaker's Notes:

Our Cabernet Sauvignon Single Vineyard 2010 has a bright ruby red colour and an expressive nose that showcases fresh red fruit and a hint of mint, all nicely complemented by notes of dried fruit and a subtle touch of sweet spices. Light balsamic touches enhance the complexity even more. Velvety on the palate, this wine starts out friendly but firm, with fine tannins and flavours that reiterate the wine's aromatic profile of dominant fresh red and black fruit accompanied by hazelnuts and sweet spices. The wine's excellent acidity foretells its great cellaring potential.

About Errazuriz:

Don Maximiano Errazuriz founded ViƱa Errazuriz in 1870 in the Aconcagua Valley, north of Santiago. This valley has cool, rainy winters, hot, dry summers and moist Pacific Ocean breezes--ideal for growing grapes. Don Maximiano sent for the finest clones from France and with tenacity and perseverance transformed this barren land into a world-class vineyard. Today, the tradition of quality lives on with Don Maximiano's descendant, Eduardo Chadwick--the fifth generation of his family to be involved in the wine business. Eduardo has overseen the modernization of the winemaking technology at this historic estate while maintaining a distinct identity for its wines, dedicated to producing estate grown wines of superior quality.

Winemaker's Notes:

Dark red with good density. Aromas of sweet red and black currants, brambly blackberry jam, black olive, dried herbs and violets. The wine has a soft entry, round with medium weight, toasty oak notes, and very good length.

The 2009 vintage reds are showing excellent quality and ripeness at slightly lower alcohol levels. The 2009 Starmont Cabernet Sauvignon is approachable now and should be consumed within 8 years of the vintage.

Blend: 76% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11 % Merlot, 6% Petit Verdot, 4% Cabernet Franc, 3% Malbec

Winemaker's Notes:

The 2011 B Side Cabernet Sauvignon opens with aromas of plum, blackberry compote, cardamom and hints of cigar box. Black cherry and cassis flavors transition to bittersweet chocolate and espresso through the mid-palate, revealing layers of depth. This wine is full-bodied, with well-integrated oak and smooth, supple tannins.

About B Side:

The inaugural release of B Side Cabernet Sauvignon features grapes from vineyards on the flip-side of Napa Valley. These vineyards are nestled in rural areas or rolling hills, just a few miles from of the high-priced glamour wineries featured along Highway 29.

The eastern side of Napa Valley includes areas such as Pope Valley, Chiles Valley, Wooden Valley, Stags Leap District and lower Calistoga. Vines in these areas, are grown in thin, volcanic soils, which yield smaller, more concentrated fruit, producing Bordeaux-style Cabernet Sauvignons with classic berry and cassis flavors.

Wooden Valley is a lesser-known area of Napa Valley, but has recently caught the attention of critics. Located east of the town of Napa, this small, round little valley is only about 2 miles wide, but has a history of grape growing since the early 20th century. While Calistoga is know for its pampering spas, before reaching this luxurious little town, there is a stretch of rural, rustic land. A large portion of our grapes, come from this lower area of Calistoga. These vineyards have been farmed by the same family for 60 years.
