Winemaker's Notes:

 The color is bright garnet with ruby tint. On the nose, aromas of cherry, cranberry, raspberry and spice. Flavors of pomegranate, blueberry and tobacco leaf. The wine has a silky mouthfeel, lively on the mid palate, with a round finish.

Winemaker's Notes:

 Aromas of ripe raspberry and strawberry with underlying notes of stonefruit, cedar, and rose petals. The palate is pure raspberries and Royal Anne cherries with orange zest and just a flicker of oak spice in the background. This wine is balanced by a bright and balancing core of acidity and fine grain tannins that will help this wine age gracefully over the next decade.

About Bethel Heights Vineyard:

 Planted between 1977 and 1979, Bethel Heights was one of the first vineyards in the Eola Hills, a chain of hills in the center of Oregon's Willamette Valley. The estate winery was established in 1984 and currently produces 10,000 cases of wine annually, most of which still comes from the 50 acre estate vineyard. Bethel Heights specializes in Pinot Noir, but also produces Chardonnay, Pinot Gris and Pinot Blanc.

 Critics are touting 2007 as one of the finest vintages for Pinot Noir in recent years, so naturally we have eagerly awaited the release of our Heritage Reserve bottling. The maturity of our own vineyards as well as several new growers we have added over the years has given us an even broader spectrum of individual lots to choose from, for making our top blend.

We set aside the finest barrel lots of our Carneros Pinot Noir for extended aging to create our "Heritage Reserve" Pinot Noir. Each vineyard lot was chosen to express its own individuality in harmony with the final blend. The result is a limited bottling that is as rich and powerful as it is graceful and charming. A bouquet reminiscent of roses, warm cherries and Kirsch liqueur leads to rich flavors of black cherry, cranberry, and hints of lavender, all finishing with hints of tobacco and spicy new oak. This wine is perfect for the collector's cellar, and will continue to age gracefully for up to 10 years.

Winemaker's Notes:

 The nose is chock-full of fresh blackberries, cherries and dark chocolate sprinkled with spices. The palate is fresh and juicy, ripe red fruits mix with plums, blackcurrant, flowers and a twist of black pepper. The tannins are fine with d'Arenberg's trademark earthiness helping keep this easy going wine in check.
