Winemaker's Notes:

This unique, non-traditional white wine blend was created to offer full-flavored fruit and enough complexity to match the creative dishes being offered by today's generation of chefs.

Conundrum can be served with every course from appetizer to dessert and pairs beautifully with spicy foods and full-flavored Asian cuisine. The "conundrum," or puzzle, of this wine is in guessing which grapes make up the blend.

About Conundrum:

This unique, non-traditional white wine blend was created to offer full-flavored fruit and enough complexity to match the creative dishes being offered by today’s generation of chefs. Conundrum can be served with every course from appetizer to dessert, and pairs beautifully with spicy foods and full-flavored Asian cuisine.

The "conundrum", or puzzle, of this wine is in guessing which grapes make up the blend; a combination that includes Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Muscat Canelli, Semillon and Viognier. Conundrum is a true California wine, with grapes sourced from Napa, Monterey, Santa Barbara and Tulare counties. Winemaker Jon Bolta began to craft the style for Conundrum in 1988.

The twist cap closure protects the fine aromas and flavors of this distinctive blend, allowing the bottle to be easily re-closed and refrigerated. The airtight cap also eliminates the possibility of cork taint.

Conundrum is owned by the Wagner family of Caymus Vineyards, but stands on its own as a separate brand. The Conundrum winery in Monterey County is close to the sources for most of the grape varietals that make up the wine.

Winemaker's Notes:

Meiomi (May-oh-mee) is a Pinot Noir that gets its fruit from the most noteworthy coastal areas in California. The wine is crafted, lush, balanced and luxurious. Three of the California's most sought after coastal growing regions brilliantly meld together in this deeply flavored, stylish and truly balanced Pinot Noir; at its most fundamental core, it is an approachable, food friendly wine with a style and place all its own.

Additional wines from Meiomi:

About Meiomi:

The name Meiomi means "coast" in the language of the native, coastal dwelling Wappo and Yuki tribes, and best pays tribute to and symbolizes the origin of this Pinot Noir. Meiomi is a high style Pinot Noir that is shaped, more than anything else, by the fruit sources that lay the foundation of the blend. A pure bred enjoyment wine, built to accommodate any pairing from food to friends. Unifying California’s most noteworthy coastal areas opens the door for a dynamic and opulent wine that is ready to enjoy whenever you are.

Winemaker's Notes:

The Martin Codax 2011 Rias Baixas Albarino is delicate and medium-bodied with a crisp, dry finish. Flavors of ripe apple, peach, pear and lemon zest are framed by bright minerality and hints of spice. This Albariño displays intense floral aromas and an attractive acidity, making it a versatile, food-friendly wine.

The Albariño grapes Bodegas Martin Codax uses for its wines come from its own vineyards, and thus the high quality and purity of the fruit is guaranteed.

PRICE ON 8/28/2014: $13.29

Winemaker's Notes:

The wine has dark ruby color. A bittersweet chocolate note accentuates jammy fruit aromas of raspberry, sweet cherry and plum. The wine is lush and sumptuous on the palate with chocolate, cherry and rich plum flavors.

The wine can be drunk now but will further evolve over the next 5 to 7 years. A bottle cellared over 5 years should always be decanted. Enjoy!

Best paired with chocolate desserts and blue veined cheeses such as gorgonzola, roquefort and stilton. Also pairs nicely alongside poached pears in red wine and chocolate cakes.

An open bottle develops a nutty, tawny port character over time and under proper care may be kept for up to 6 months.

Winemaker's Notes:

A blend of 46% Shiraz, 20% Mourvedre, 15% Grenache, 17% Tempranillo and 2% Carignane.

Layers is a unique blend that delivers a highly enjoyable journey of discovery for the senses in each and every glass. Shiraz delivers fruit depth and structure, combining beautifully with the aromatics and spiciness of Grenache. Mourvèdre adds wild earthy notes to the blend and the firm, savoury character of Tempranillo melds together with the black cherry character of Carignan, to surround and soften the palate of this multi-dimensional wine. This wine perfectly complements a wide variety of game, Mediterranean influenced dishes and spicy Indian curries.

The color is a beautiful black cherry with aromas of dark plum, chocolate and savory black olive. The palate is a soft mouthfull of forest fruits with wild bramble undertones and a fine stylish finish. A quintet of a blend in perfect harmony!
