Winemaker's Notes:

 This full-bodied and fruity wine comes from vines grown high on the slopes of Mont Ventoux, one of the best vineyards in the Rhone Valley.

This blend of Grenache, Syrah, Carignan, and Cinsault grapes has produced a typical Rhone Valley style; full of fruit and spice aromas, it has soft tannins and good body.

Serve at 62F to accompany most foods or to be drunk on its own, this is a delicious wine for easy drinking.

About La Vieille Ferme:

 Jean Pierre Perrin established La Vieille Ferme over 35 years ago, when he chose to produce an inexpensive, straightforward Rhône wine to sell by direct mail to French wine lovers. He used the same grape varieties in similar proportions to those planted at the family's Château de Beaucastel, in a similar vinification process. The result was an immediate success in France, a wine of character and style in keeping with its Beaucastel heritage.

Initially, Jean Pierre made only Côtes du Rhône, but steeply rising grape prices in 1976 caused him to switch to Côtes du Ventoux and eventually to produce a white wine from the mountainous Côtes du Luberon. La Vieille Ferme was introduced to the United States in 1970. The response was an immediate, overwhelming acceptance and an outpouring of critical acclaim from eminently knowledgeable critics who recognized La Vieille Ferme for its consistently fine quality and value.

 Columbia Winery was the first premium winery in Washington and the first in the state to produce vineyard-designate wines. Columbia Winery was founded in 1962 by ten friends, six of whom were University of Washington professors. Originally known as Associated Vintners, the group was united in the belief that vines could survive the harsh Washington winters and that fine wine could be made in Washington state.

Winemaker's Notes:

 Pale yellow color with green hues, very bright and clean. Aromas are fresh with citrus hints. There is the presence of pears, lime and some tropical touches with a greenish finish thanks to the presence of green apple. An elegant wine due to the intensity and balanced acidity. The citric characteristics from the coastal areas of the Central Valley stand out. It is fresh from the beginning to the end, where the balance of fruit and acidity refresh the palate.

 In 1986, Rafael Guilisasti of Concha y Toro had a flash of inspiration that would set new precedents and raise the bar for Chilean winemaking forever.
