Winemaker's Notes:

Pure ripe red fruit aromas with layers of earth and spice. Broad palate with plum fruit and hints of dried herb that lead to a finish with perfectly balanced tannin.

Crafted entirely from grapes grown on Silverado's Stags Leap Vineyard surrounding the winery, SOLO has one driving philosophy: location. One of the first three vineyards planted to Cabernet in the appellation, Silverado's Stags Leap vineyard helped establish the reputation of the District. Specific clone selection, (Silverado's on Heritage Clone, UCD 30), micro block fermentation, a restrained approach to oak aging: everything Silverado does with SOLO is tailored to honor the purity of fruit which expresses this special site in the heart of Napa Valley.

About Silverado Vineyards:

In the heart of Napa Valley's Stags Leap District sits a rocky peak with a spectacular Mediterranean-style stone winery perched on top. That winery is the iconic Silverado Vineyards, established in 1981 by Ron and Diane Disney Miller. Thirty years later, three generations of Miller Family continue to source grapes entirely from their family-owned estate Napa vineyards. From berry to bottle, each vine growing and wine making step is dedicated to expressing the character of grapes grown on each of the wineries six historic vineyards. Expressing richness and age-worthiness, Silverado wines are unique, one-of-a-kind blends of superlative vineyard location and elegant winemaking style.

Winemaker's Notes:

With its deep purple hue, the 2008 HALL Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon drives complex aromas of jammy blackberry puree, rich cassis, Asian Five-Spice and dark chocolate from the glass. The fleshy texture is both dense and opulent, the perfect platform for brawny black and briar fruit flavors that persist through the velvety, enduring finish. This wine will continue to gain complexity and grace for 5-10 years.
