Winemaker's Notes:

The 2009 Grayson Cabernet Sauvignon shows a dark color with deep, rich aromas of ripe, dark cherries, blackberries and hints of black pepper. This full bodied wine provides a round mouth feel with a long, lingering finish of hints of toasted French oak.

About Grayson Cellars:

The founders of Grayson believe that we can put to work our Napa Valley winemaking skills to create some of the highest quality wines at the by-the-glass price point. We believe that decades of Napa winemaking experience will allow us to create a better bottle of wine at a better price point than what’s generally in the market today.

Our wines are carefully crafted by Larry Levin, who is among the most experienced winemakers in the Napa Valley. After completing his Enology degree at UC Davis, Larry spent seventeen years at Dry Creek Vineyard where over 18 vintages he produced more than 15 varietal wines. He has since covered the globe by making wine in New Zealand, Chile, and Australia across all price points and styles. For the previous nine years Larry was head of winemaking at Icon Estates where he oversaw the Franciscan, Mt. Veeder, Robert Mondavi, Estancia, Ravenswood, Quintessa and Ruffino brands. Larry also consults for wineries in the Stag’s Leap and Oakville districts in Napa and Sonoma.

Winemaker's Notes:

Thirty-two years after it was first produced by the Bogle family in 1978, Petite Sirah is today considered Bogle's "heritage" varietal. Once again the trademark qualities shine through in a wine that is the perfect integration of fruit and oak. Full-bodied on the entry, aromas of black plum jam and toasty oak set the stage for what is to come. Vibrant boysenberries and luscious fruit are framed by serious tannins, while wisps of leather and vanilla seduce just enough. A final touch of acidity finishes the wine with a precisely balanced mouthfeel.

Try this unique wine with rich meat dishes of lamb, pork or game and their hearty sauces.

About Bogle Vineyards:

Although the Bogle family has been farming since the 1800's, it wasn't until 1968 that the father and son team of Warren and Chris Bogle planted their first 20 acres of wine grapes in Clarksburg, California. Clarksburg is a small farming community nestled in the Sacramento Delta. Today Bogle Vineyards farms over 1,000 acres of wine grapes in the Delta region. While the winery was established ten years after the first grapes were planted, it has grown tremendously along with the vineyards. Bogle Winery is currently producing 100,000 cases of wine. Winemaker Christopher Smith joined the winery in 1992. He sources fruit from some of the best vineyards throughout the State of California and blends that fruit with the best grapes from our Estate Vineyards in Clarksburg.
