Announcing the 2011 edition of the Wine.com 100, the fifth year we have compiled a list of our top 100 wines based entirely on customer preferences. The ranking reflects the top 1% of wines sold nationally on Wine.com during the first 11 months of 2011. While most publications rank wines based on the opinions of their wine critics, our customers, by voting with their palate and wallets, determine the Wine.com 100.

The Wine.com 100 list shows customers still love California, and still love Cabernet. But they also enjoy excellent quality at a great price. That said, the average bottle price in 2011 increased from 2010, showing that customers are willing to spend more on collectible bottles.

As with many year-end rankings, market availability can be a challenge. We have limited quantities remaining for some of the list, and for the rest, we've moved on to the next vintage.
